Learn how to repair or replace a zipper in gear so you can keep adventuring! In this class you will learn how to recognize when a repair is sufficient or if a replacement is required. Please bring one gear item, like a backpack, purse, or a tent to class that needs attention. We will go over the possibilities and assess your items together so everyone can learn as we go. There will be work time to complete your repair or replacement.
If you can thread a sewing machine and know how to straight stitch, you've got what it takes!
Repairing our gear so we can use it longer is impactful not only in keeping things out of the landfill, but also for all the memories you’ll continue to make with the gear you fix!
Classes are designed for students 16 and older. Please only register if you meet this age requirement.

We are a small organization supported by donations, volunteers, and grant funding. We value our teachers, their time, and the work they are doing to help shift consumption habits by teaching the skills of repair, repurposing and all manner of making. We understand that you may not be able to make it to a class.
