A former Communications Director for the US Biochar Initiative (USBI), John is known for popularizing biochar as a climate solution through his work in the industry, on platforms like The Biochar Show podcast and social media, and as a leading figure in the US Biochar community. He is also a member of the 2025 North American Biochar Conference planning team and a director for BiocharOnSite.org dedicated to stewardship biochar for ecosystem resilience.
