The presentation will go over both the background theory of onsite water management (crash course in climate science - water cycles, carbon cycle, biotic pump) before discussing what you can do right now with a focus on realistic actions that can done at a residential scale on a modest budget. Charles Upton is a water professional and educator with 14+ years’ experience designing and installing decentralized water systems that integrate onsite blackwater, rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse, water infiltrating landscapes, soil building and reforestation for residential, commercial and agricultural clients. He holds a MSc degree in Integrated Water Management from the International Water Centre in Brisbane Australia and works on projects globally in Europe, South America as well as the USA. He currently runs his own consulting firm Oso Eco out of Nevada City, CA.
