Learn to make your clothes and other wearables, unique and beautiful with visible mending. This is the first of a two-part series. In this intro class, hand mender Silke Kluth will teach a variety of embroidery stitches and hand mending techniqes. You'll create a sampler of stitch patterns you can refer to for making beautiful and unique patches and mends. You'll work on denim and cotton and review tools and materials for various fabrics. All materials will be provided including embroidery floss, needles and sampler fabrics. This class will get you closer to creating unique and personal.visibly mended garments, sustainable works of art to be proud of!
Classes are designed for students 16 and older. Please only register if you meet this age requirement.
